This, our first Kilt Pin, is dedicated to an ancestor of this store’s owner. Robert Burns, known as The Bard of Scotland, is celebrated every year with a birthday banquet which includes Hagis – and a wee bit of Scotch to wash it down.
We are extremely proud of this pin. It is 3 1/2″ long, with an antiqued silver finish.
You’ll note the Scottish symbol, the Purple Thistle, on the pommel. On either end of the hilt you will find eternity knots, signifying the timelessness of his work, and therefore the man.
Below the hilt is a disk which, in the center, contains Robert Burns’ distinctive PM Jewel. This disk is also offered as a stand-alone lapel pin.
We hope you enjoy wearing this at your next Robert Burns Day celebration!
Our thanks to JP Cole Studios for the use of their Past Master Jewel artwork, in the creation of this project.
Brother Cole makes custom jewels, each meticulously hand-engraved, and crafted.
